Redeemed

Redeemed – saved from the bondage of sin

John 8:1-11
Put away the stone. We at times hear about people that have been caught in compromising situations. We hear about those that have been caught in adultery, murder, theft, drunkenness, lying, etc. We hear about it on the television, our phone conversation, internet and by personal interaction. Like the people in the bible that were ready to stone the woman that had been caught in adultery. They all had some type of sin hidden sin within themselves ready to cast a stone at her. Ready to make her suffer for her sins. Jesus stated that he without sin cast the first stone. They all had to drop or put away their stones. Our life is similar to the bible story. We look down on someone and even talk about them when their lives fall short of being perfect. God still loves that person and can still use them . He never cast away the woman that was caught in adultery. He told her to go and sin no more. Those were healing words. We kill many people's spirit by the words that comes out of our mouth sometimes. Remember David in the bible was a murderer and committed adultery. God still used him when he repented. If a person that did wrong asked God for forgiveness, then who are we to keep holding their past sins over their heads.

Put away the stone, for I have been Redeemed and Forgiven.
Romans 6:23
“ For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Forgiveness

Forgiveness is the act of forgiving, willingness to forgive. When we forgive someone who have wronged us, the inner healing can begin within us. Forgiveness gives us the strength to embark on a new journey in our lives.

Letting Go Of Past Hurts

Letting go of past hurts is easier said than done.

The very thing that we once loved can now be causing our pain. We hold and hide the pain of our past on the inside for many years, not knowing how to let it go. We feel at times so burden down.

You may wonder how can someone love me with all the pain and stuff that is going on in the inside. We hope someone would come along and notice that we are hurting on the inside. We feel so lonely and isolated. We wonder when will the pain go away. Holding onto past hurt will cause unforgiving and bitterness. This could lead into depression. Let it all go! You can begin again. Make the first step in letting it go. Let go of all the hurt, pain, resentment, dishonesty, anger, disappointments, bitterness, and all past hurt. Let it go. Release the stress. The past will always be just that...the past. You will begin to heal when you let go of past hurts and just forgive.

We must Divorce our past, Engage our present and Embrace our future.

Isaiah 43:18-19

New International Version (NIV)

18 “Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
19 See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.
