From Victim to Victor

One day I woke and began to think over my life. I thought about all the hurt that I endured through the past years. I wondered why I allowed myself to be a victim of emotional abuse. For so many years I thought things would change, but eventually the abuse and rejection came back again and again. I believe that if I stayed there time would change my outcome. I began to feel like I was worthless, not wanted, rejection began to set in and depression.

Well what changed how I began think and look at myself was pne phone call. I received a call from someone I hold dear to my heart. She told me she had a dream about me and in the dream she described everything I was actually going through. Her last words she told me was “ God said you were going to come out of this alright”
From that very moment God allowed me to realize to be no more a Victim but to be a Victor. God instructed me to stop seeing myself as a victim and began to speak positive to my situation. No More Victim!
I had to make the choice to allow a change. The choice was up to me to arise from Victim to Victor and from Prey to Pray. It's your decision, you decide!

Dear God

Lord, I am so grateful for all the things that you have done for me. Please forgive me for complaining about things because it could be worse. Everyday to me is a day of thanksgiving. I would be nothing without you. With you God all things are possible. I love you more and more each day.

Someone's Watching You!

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

God help me to accept things I can not change

One of the hardest things to accept is death. I was blessed to have several biological sisters. One of my older sisters that I was very fond of got very sick. Later on she had to have major surgery. When the surgery was finished, the doctor came in and told us that they found a cancerous tumor in her body. He said this type of cancer was aggressive. This was very hard for me to take in. My sister that I love so much might not be with us much longer. It was so hard to see someone you love, spent many day with laughing, and crying with, slowly slip away.

I had the Faith to believe God for her healing, but God had other plans for her life. This was one of the hardest things for me to accept. I was reminded in the Bible that God's grace is sufficient for me. God helped me to accept the things I can not change. I began to allow the healing to take place in my life. I had to let go and let God...

My sister passed away months later, but the love she imparted in our lives was so overwhelming. I can see my sister in her children. I feel her in the songs I hear that she used to sing. The Death of a Love One is so hard to bear and accept, but God will see you through it, if you let him.

Purpose and Destiny

There is Purpose and Destiny for your life.

There is a divine reason to why you are here. You may wonder where's my life going? What purpose do I have here on earth? You may ask God, Do you really have plans for my life? In our life we try to make a difference in the lives of others but at times we feel so inadequate. We ask God, can you really use someone like me, even though I have a past... My answer to you is yes! Just like the quote says "God Sees In You, What You Can't See In Yourself!" You have people to reach and lives to change for the Kingdom!

Behind the Smile

As we go about on our daily journey, we may notice the seemly smile on people faces. They look happy on the outside but what is really going on in the inside. There are some people that are really hurting deep within and feel like what is the use to continue on. Their smile is just a cover up to camouflage the pain they feel. Each day is a struggle. Each day they hope that someone will notice that they are suffering, depressed, empty, and unhappy. They are waiting to be free from the pain. Yet when they see you, they try and bear a smile like nothing is wrong.
Behind the smile is a child that have been abused, a person that feel worthless, someone who is about to be evicted out of their home. Behind the smile is a young man waiting and wanting to be accepted by his father...lonely. Behind the smile is a mother that can not find resources to feed her small little children. Yet they try to put on a smile so that others will think everything is all right. Satan has a way of making them feel like no one care. Behind the smile was a person thinking about committing suicide. When we see that smile on their face, look into there eyes and see their pain. Pray for them, even if you don't know them.

Even right now there is someone out there that have a story behind the smile. Let take the time right now and say a word of prayer for someone that has painful secret behind their smile.

Prayer

All Mighty God, and most merciful Father,
we pray that your hand of protection and comfort
be upon those that are hurting on today.
Help us to not just to pray for ourselves
but daily pray for other.
All Mighty God, look past their smile
and heal every hurt and pain. Amen

Psalm 116:1-2

New Living Translation

I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. 2. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!

Redeemed

Redeemed – saved from the bondage of sin

John 8:1-11
Put away the stone. We at times hear about people that have been caught in compromising situations. We hear about those that have been caught in adultery, murder, theft, drunkenness, lying, etc. We hear about it on the television, our phone conversation, internet and by personal interaction. Like the people in the bible that were ready to stone the woman that had been caught in adultery. They all had some type of sin hidden sin within themselves ready to cast a stone at her. Ready to make her suffer for her sins. Jesus stated that he without sin cast the first stone. They all had to drop or put away their stones. Our life is similar to the bible story. We look down on someone and even talk about them when their lives fall short of being perfect. God still loves that person and can still use them . He never cast away the woman that was caught in adultery. He told her to go and sin no more. Those were healing words. We kill many people's spirit by the words that comes out of our mouth sometimes. Remember David in the bible was a murderer and committed adultery. God still used him when he repented. If a person that did wrong asked God for forgiveness, then who are we to keep holding their past sins over their heads.

Put away the stone, for I have been Redeemed and Forgiven.
Romans 6:23
“ For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Forgiveness

Forgiveness is the act of forgiving, willingness to forgive. When we forgive someone who have wronged us, the inner healing can begin within us. Forgiveness gives us the strength to embark on a new journey in our lives.
